I CAN'T WAIT!! FRIDAY the 13th 2009~!!! Jason is RESURRECTED!

Please make me a happy man Platinum Dunes and errrrgh - Michael BAY! There I said it.
Please make me happy.

Add it to Your Queue Fool: 30 Days of Night

Helllooooooo...

We watched 30 Days of Night last night and well, I liked it..

I told the wife, abusing my infinite insider knowledge into the horror genre, that this movie was "really scary". Unbelieveably she actually bought it@! She usually knows better than to believe me about anything like that. I think we both wanted to see for a long time and her interest in it made her want to believe it would be actually scary. It's really a good movie, not great, but not really scary at all. I really liked the main vampire character, they did a great job casting him and all of the vampires for that matter.

The gore is great. Josh Hartnett has to use a axe in a few creative ways and lets just say its really well done and looked awesome. The FX guys really worked there butt's off.. It turns out it was a little bit creepy at times, but it's no as far as the creep factor goes, it's no Evil Dead or Psycho...

It is pretty well paced and has a cliched storyline (the last 20 minutes is kinda rrrredickulus) but overall one of the better vampire movies I have seen in a long time.

So add it to your queue fool!

Yo Momma loves Obama

Well, I am voting for Barock Obama. He just seems to be the best choice. I like Hillary but I am just feeling Obama. He seems to have his shit straight and he acts like he knows. I respect McCain for his service to his country and I think he has some good ideas for a repub asshole.
MCCain claimed MMA was human cockfighting and really hurt the UFC in the 90's, so he's out. Honestly, I wont be too unhappy with Hillary as president. God, I just want a fucking Democrat. They suck too ,but they are much better than the republicans.
They are fucking all hypocrites. They all suck...all politicians suck.

The worst was how GW questioned McCain in the primaries of the last election. He questioned McCain's military background and he was to pussified to go to war himself. I still would vote for Larry Flynt or Billy Clint over anyone- any day.
I hate GW Bush. What a fucking coward that man is. He knows he is wrong, but he is so stubborn that he won't stop a pointless war even when we have lost countless lives over bullshit. Fuck GW Bush and his cronies. He is not a Texan and we don't want his dumbass. He and his dad can go back to the Northeast where they belong. Fuckers.

Fedor Emelianenko put's Dana White in his place

Fedor comments back on Dana White's stupid ass comments about him...

Taken from Five Ounces of Pain (my buddy Sam Caplan's blog)

Fedor Emelianenko, the final reigning heavyweight champion in PRIDE’s history, has issued a response to UFC president Dana White in regards to White’s continued criticism of his ability as a top fighter. The statement, which was published on M1Mixfight.com, reads as follows: Numerous times have I read mister White’s statements on Internet concerning myself. In my opinion, allowing yourself to say those things is not a sign of a gentleman or a grown man at all! If he candidly wants to prove himself right then let my fight with Randy happen or let me face the reigning UFC champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
In the future I wouldn’t want to hear those statements in my address ever again and I won’t tolerate that. My last fight in Japan proved that I’m ready to fight anybody with any height advantage, skillset or experience. I have fought and still wish to fight the best athletes. The Randy fight is my goal number one right now, he’s a great fighter and this is a very unfortunate situation when too strict and one-sided UFC contracts don’t let this fight happen.

The whole world is eager to see me fight your champions, people don’t want to listen to your press-conferences. I’m signed with M-1 Global and this promotion is ready to organize such fights under our banner or in co-promoted events.

400 Pound Man Hides Crack Cocaine In Belly Button

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. - A 400-pound man faces a drug charge after Florida authorities plucked a bag of crack cocaine from his belly button, according to an arrest affidavit released Wednesday. Deputies stopped Gergory K. Vandyke, 47, of Sebastian, Fla. about 11:05 p.m. Tuesday after he ran a stop light. The man said he was coming from Vero Beach, but the deputy reported spotting him "coming off of 58th Court, a known drug area." A sheriff's dog "alerted" on Vandyke's 2001 Ford Ranger, and investigators found a small amount of powder cocaine in the vehicle. "Vandyke was advised that bringing a controlled substance into the jail was an additional charge," the arrest affidavit states.
"At that time Vandyke told me to check his belly button." That, investigators report, is where Vandyke had squirreled away a small plastic baggy of crack. He later said he buys $20 to $30 of the drug one or two times a week and uses the crack to help with pain.
He faces a felony possession of a controlled substance charge.

Yao is carrying this team on his back right now...They beat the Spurs and this MLK day afternoon game the Rockets handed Durant and the NotSoSuperSonics their 11th or 50th loss in a row...

Carl Landry is looking like a real steal of a second round pick. We really needed a banger, witha a big body who can pound the ball inside and get rebound. HE is also blocking shots well. Scola continues to improve and he's really doing amazing things around the basket...the ball just seems to go in for him. He shoul;d be starting, Chuck Hayes is not playing very well right now and ha has lost the only offense he ever had - he cannot seem to make a layup right by the basket.

I really like the play of Aaron Brooks. Man that kid is fast..and he sees the floor well. Bonzi and Luther are picking it up and Rafer is playing better than ever right now.

The Rox may be average right now, but with Yao's great play and the help of this youthful rookie trio, they have a solid base for years to come. You know they say it takes two years to really learn Adelmans system. So far, I like what I see.

this week's edition of...............

Brewster McCloud (1970)

First off, you cannot actually add this to your Netflix Queue. You can only find this movie on VHS or Betamax off Ebay or through one of the many online movie traders on the black market. You could just wait until Altman's family releases it on DVD. I think they will do so eventually. It was one of Bob's favorites(he was a buddy of mine)...

The story is of a young man name Brewster. He is an owlish, intellectual boy who lives in a fallout shelter of the Houston Astrodome. He has a dream: to take flight within the confines of the stadium. Brewster tells those he trusts of his dream, but displays a unique way of treating others who do not fit within his plans. When the fateful day arrives, and he enters the dome with his fanciful construction of bird wings, Brewster is surrounded by the police. Will he be caught before he attempts to fly? You have to watch to see!!!!! Now go ADD IT TO YO QUEUE FOOL!

Check these out, they are just a couple of many they have to offer:

Paul Thomas Anderson is BACK

A sprawling epic of family, faith, power and oil, the new film from writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson (Punch-Drunk Love, Magnolia, Boogie Nights) is set on the incendiary frontier of California's turn-of-the-century petroleum boom. When Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) gets a mysterious tip-off that there's a little town out West where an ocean of oil is oozing out of the ground, he heads there with his son H.W. (Dillon Freasier).
In this hardscrabble town, where the main excitement centers around the church of charismatic preacher Eli Sunday (Paul Dano), they make their lucky strike. But even as the well raises all of their fortunes, nothing will remain the same as conflicts escalate and every human value—love, hope, community, belief, ambition and even the bond between father and son—is imperiled by corruption, deception and the flow of oil.

Have you taken an IQ test lately? Are you a member of Mensa? Would you say you’re brilliant? Figure it out, dumbo, because we’re putting on our thinking caps this weekend and preparing all sorts of smart entertainment for the truly brainy and the wannabe geeks alike. First off, of course, we have our REAL GENIUS QUOTE-ALONGs happening on Wednesday and Thursday, and I’m happy to say that not only will we be encouraging everyone in the theater to yell out their favorite lines, but we’ll also be handing EACH and EVERY person in the audience their very own LASER to shoot all over the theater whenever there’s a laser on screen (and we’ll also have our own laser guns to shoot at audience members who cheat and shoot their laser when there’s no laser on screen, don’t worry). We’ve also got our staff at all three of our theaters working overtime right now to produce enough popcorn for the grand finale when (spoiler alert) Dr. Hathaway’s house gets hit by the laser and destroyed by Jiffy Pop. That spectacle alone would be well worth the price of admission, but that won’t be the only surprise we’ve got ready.

For the well-informed or aspiring film geek this weekend, I can’t possibly recommend the two TRAILERTHON screenings we’ve got going on this Friday and Saturday at midnight highly enough. We’re digging through our enormous back catalogue of discarded and forgotten 35mm film trailers to bring out the best of the bygone brilliance and bringing them to the light of the silver screen for what may just be their last hurrah. But be warned – that event is really only for the truest hearted film geeks on the planet. Laymen will have their eyeballs burned out by a degree of awesomeness that they can’t possibly be prepared for.

And for the pop music and VH1 junkies out there, you’ll be happy to know we’ve added a special showing of the 90s ONE HIT WONDERS SING-ALONG: VOLUME 2 this Friday at 10pm at the Ritz. We don’t get to do primetime Friday shows very often, so this Sing-Along should be a doozy for sure. And if you’re just a full on Sing-Along fan, you might be interested to hear that Austin’s one and only boy band CEDAR FEVER will be making an appearance at this Sunday’s DICK-E-OKE show, but let's get to the showtimes.

FBI shares fresh leads in cold case of 'D.B. Cooper'

By SUSAN SAULNY
New York Times

CHICAGO — It is considered one of the great unsolved mysteries of FBI history: how a seemingly quiet man in his mid-40s hijacked an airliner somewhere between Seattle and Reno, Nev., in November 1971, then parachuted in his loafers and trench coat, making off with $200,000 in cash.

Who was he? Did he survive? After all these years, federal authorities say they still do not know, and the case lingers and vexes and fascinates as the only unsolved airplane hijacking in U.S. history.

But now, with the advantage of technologies that were not available decades ago and with newfound attention from an agent on the West Coast, the FBI has announced that the cold case is officially hot again — and the search is on for the parachuter who called himself Dan, and sometimes, D.B. Cooper.

And, for the first time, the FBI is providing pictures and information on the case to the public on its Web site.

The hijacked flight, Northwest Airlines 305, left Portland, Ore., bound for Seattle on Nov. 24, 1971. After takeoff, Cooper handed a flight attendant a note saying he had a bomb in his suitcase. He demanded four parachutes and $200,000 in $20 bills, the FBI says. Upon the plane's landing in Seattle, Cooper exchanged all 36 passengers for the ransom, but continued to hold several crew members on the plane with him as, on his orders, it took off again, this time on a flight to Mexico City.

"This case is 36 years old, it's beyond its expiration date, but I asked for the case because I was intrigued with it," said Larry Carr, a federal agent based in Seattle who usually investigates bank robberies, and who was 4 when the hijacking occurred.

Since the case was turned over to him about six months ago, Carr has come up with a new way of seeing the incident: as a bank robbery that just happened to be on an airplane. The fresh perspective led to new investigating techniques.

"The classic way we solve bank robberies is with the public," Carr said. "Everything we know — pictures, descriptions, m.o., everything. We put it all out there."

Now, with the information made public, he said, "maybe someone will say: My uncle who disappeared in 1971 — he could have been Cooper. I just never thought about it until now."

Fedor wins...and HDnet fights has nother great night

YARRENOKA !!

NYE another great night for Fedor.

Fedor submitted Hong Man Choi, just like we knew he would. HDnet fights was great again. Gilbert Melendez lost via decision, Zensov got choked out.. No Bas, they had Trigg instead but they are really putting together some nice fights and covering everything. They have the right mindset-work with Sportfight, the IFL, HDnet fights, the UFC and Yarrenoka etc etc. HDnet had the IFL championships and the fights were good. The IFL is going to the camp format instead of teams and it is a great idea. I really like Kurt Otto. I really like Monte cox and Cuban. They are going to do great things. Dana better watch his back. They want to co promote. They want to do things right. The UFC needs to watch themselves..I mean M1 has offered Randy 1 million over anything the UFC offers him to fight Fedor.
Oh, and the screaming Pride lady was Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.. Awesome.

I think this Fedor vs Randy fight will be the biggest MMA fight of all time. It does not matter that Fedor is much much more of a winning fighter, who has fought better HW's and fought more than Randy. They are two of the most beloved mma fighters and they are the epitome of the evolved mma fighter. They have respect for their opponents, but they destroy them in the ring.

The Russian Cyborg, Fedor Emilianenko vs the Hero, the Natural, Randy Couture.

I can't wait.

Chuck v Wandy

It lived up to all the hype! Wow. What a fight man. They really laid it all on the line. What a fight. Wandy has the heart of a lion. Chuck really fought well and they both took some shots. Wand was like a machine, he got hit with some shots that easily dropped Tito Ortiz, Babalu (x2), Randy(x2), and a few others...

chuck seemed like the Chuckj of old. I mean he really looked sharp. Rampage will fight Forrest and if Forrest loses then Chuck fights Rampage again..

What do you do though? Chuck and Rampage had a good fight in Pride, but their UFC fight was a quick fight where Chuck got ktfo. I mean Chuck needs to fight Jardine again and you have Shogun and Wand in the mix eventhough they are coming off losses. Wand's losses are to a hw (Cro Cop) and a middleweight (Hendo) and then a hell of a fight vs Chuck.

The UFC could not have asked for anything more... all respect anbd love to Chuck and to Wand. They both showed a ton of heart and they both showed why we waited 6 years for it.

HBO's 24/7 or UFC All Access?

UFC ALL Access & the UFC 79 Preview show gets a much needed makeover

I don't know who is in charge of the UFC's marketing, but they bit a big ass chunk off of HBO's 24/7 show all the while adding some much needed elements and updating a tired format. Check them out this week on Spike TV.

I cannot wait for this weekend! New Years! Fights! Fedor! Wandy v Chuck! GSP v Hughes! It's gonna be awesome!

Fedor's own words about the UFC contract and Dana White

"Why didn't Fedor just sign with the UFC?

"To understand him is to recognize that given the circumstances, it was never a choice.

Hearing Fedor discuss the UFC negotiations and understanding his background and motivation, it is obvious that he was as likely to accept the UFC's offer as he was to become a completely different man.

In particular Finkelchtein, Fedor's manager, cited the harshness of the UFC's terms and the organization's inflexibility as two issues preventing an agreement. There were some specifics, such as the widely publicized clause that wouldn't let Fedor compete in combat sambo and the UFC's refusal to sign some of his Red Devil teammates.

"I never met Dana White, never spoke to him on the phone, never exchanged e-mails," Fedor said. "However, I did read a lot on the Internet about what he said in regard to me and Vadim []. I also read e-mails that he sent to Vadim; all of his correspondence was very upsetting. The contract that we were presented with by the UFC was simply impossible, couldn't be signed -- I couldn't leave. If I won, I had to fight eight times in two years. If I lost one fight, then the UFC had the right to rip up the contract. At the conclusion of the contract, if I am undefeated, then it automatically extends for an as yet unspecified period of time, though for the same compensation.

"Basically I can't leave undefeated. I can't give interviews, appear in films or advertising. I don't have the right to do anything without the UFC's agreement. I could do nothing without the OK from the UFC. I didn't have the right to compete in combat sambo competition. It's my national sport. It's the Russian sport, which in his time our president competed in, and I no longer have the right to do so. There were many such clauses; the contract was 18 pages in length. It was written in such a way that I had absolutely no rights while the UFC could at any moment, if something didn't suit them, tear up the agreement. We worked with lawyers who told us that it was patently impossible to sign such a document."

Fedor is a man who fought all of his life to be independent of the system, to belong to himself and to forge his own future. He is where he is because of the people around him.

In his view the UFC offer, which was not open for reasonable negotiation, proposed that he exchange everything that makes him who he is -- his team, his freedom and his future -- in return for more money than anyone else at the time was making and the possibility of fighting in the strongest heavyweight division in the sport."

From the article on Sherdog.com

I am super excited to see him fight Hong Man Choi, when he could be fighting Randy. NOT. I cannot believe the way Dana and the UFC do things. This is the biggest MMA matchup of ALL time (or all times as Dana says incorrectly)... Hopefully Dana White and the UFC will see the light like HDnet fights and start co promoting (they did this in the past when it benefited them.
